Noxontown News, Vol. 1, No. 7 A Fortnightly Newsletter for St. Andrew's Parents (See links to updated St. Andrew’s news stories below.) December 2, 2005 Dear Parents, I hope this e-mail update finds you doing well. As we returned from Thanksgiving break, it
did not take the St. Andrew’s community long before we moved back into what
has been an amazing year at the School. We celebrated St. Andrew’s Day on Wednesday, and I told our
students and faculty that they had honored our founders’ greatest wishes for
the School in the ways they have worked, studied, played, performed and lived
together this year. Religion teacher
Wes Goldsberry gave a great chapel talk on
Wednesday night reflecting on the life of St. Andrew himself. The School community has marked World AIDS Day with a number
of important meetings, chapel services and public interest
announcements. And this weekend,
students have opportunities to attend cultural movies, Shakespeare’s “Measure
for Measure” and an on-campus comedy improvisation workshop offered by a
young member of our alumni body. The
cast of “Oliver!” assembles each day in the theatre for rehearsals, and
winter sports, forestry and mock trial have all begun. We are excited about the upcoming Service of
Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 11th.
Please join us if you can for the 2:30 p.m. service that day. In my next email, I plan to share results from the parent
survey and suggest a few books for your holiday list. Take care. Sincerely, Tad Roach headmaster@standrews-de.org St. Andrew's News On-Line * * * * * * * * PARENT WEB SITE LAUNCHES! * * * * * * * * A new Web site with an interactive parent directory, home
